Did you know about the Coalition of Community Health clinics? I did not.
The Coalition of Community Health Clinics (CCHC), which was formed in 1985, is a non-profit organization that serves seventeen non-profit community health clinics dedicated to providing health and preventive services for low-income, uninsured, and under-served community members.
They are considered the “health care safety net” to help individuals overcome barriers including lack of coverage, geographic isolation, language and culture, mental illness and homelessness.
In addition to developing strategic partnerships and coordinating with other services, CCHC works to strengthen its primary and specialty care delivery network. They also collaborate through peer sharing, networking, and work to provide direct benefits to member clinics and their patients.
The CCHC has specific programs dedicated to Oregon Health Plan enrollment, health equity, health & housing, advocacy and emergency preparedness.
They also have a very informative page dedicated to LGBTQI2S resources.
